ADULT LEARNING CLASSES: Flexible day and evening options to learn reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and more. For ages 18+
CAEC (GED) PREPARATION PROGRAM: Work toward your CAEC (GED) with the help of a teacher or tutor. For ages 18+
WORKSHOPS: Free sessions to build your skills for daily life and employment (18+).
COMPUTER SKILLS: Learn or improve your computer skills in classes and workshops. For ages 18+
FAMILY LITERACY FUN!: Have elementary school-aged children? Check out this free family program!
LEARNING TOGETHER TUTORING PROGRAM: One-on-one and small group help from a volunteer tutor is available for elementary and middle school students.
CONNECTING THROUGH CONVERSATION: a free conversational English and social group where people can come together to increase their language skills, share their experiences, make new friends, and build community connections in a welcoming and supportive environment.
HLNA programs are FREE and are funded by the Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning, Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration; Province of Nova Scotia; and the West Hants / Uniacke Community Health Board.

Learners may enter most programs at any time throughout the school year and work at their own pace. Adult learners are assessed to determine placement in the classes that are right for them. In adult classes,
qualified teachers and instructors follow course material and outcomes prescribed by the Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning.
